MLM Lead Generation may be the answer to the problems of your MLM business. Of course we all need new people to talk to. This is the constant problem in this business. If you do not have a solid MLM lead generation strategy then you will run out of new business builders entering your network and your momentum will stop and your business will dry up.

There are many ways to generate leads for your MLM business, including collecting contact information at tradeshows to prospecting at the mall. However, the most effective MLM Lead Generation strategy that exists today is on the Internet. With the days of social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, comes a lot of opportunity. MLM builders are now able to generate leads in brand new ways and largely automate the process so that things work even when you are sleeping.

The process is really quite simple. MLM lead generation consists of setting up various funnels that drive traffic from the major search engines through a blog or other search optimized web page straight through to your sales page or lead capture page.

There are many MLM lead generation training programs out there. Some are free and some cost a lot of money. I firmly believe that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to learn the skills necessary to build a successful MLM lead generation campaign. The more money you spend, the more of the “ground work” that is done for you. After about a year into my Network Marketing career I started to run out of people to talk to. I spent a lot of time prospecting at business functions, tradeshows, etc, but things really got interesting when I started to look online.

Before I developed MLM lead generation strategies, I spent time in Social Networking sites such as MySpace and participated in the forums. This proved to be extremely fruitful. I spent about a month just observing. I learned what was considered spam and what was ok. Turns out you can build some extremely strong relationships (I still have many good relationships today) and I ended up recruiting over 20 people in less than the first two months.

Here are a couple simple hints for recruiting on forums;

1. Do not promote your "opportunity" directly! Definitely DO NOT set up a profile for your business or your product. Set up a profile for YOU and tell the world your story. Make sure you set up a signature for the forums with a link to your blog.
2. If you are a seasoned professional, get into the forums and start sharing your experiences and answering questions. This is how I recruited so many people.
3. If you are a newbie%u2026 You can still recruit, but don't pretend you are someone you are not. Ask questions and generate conversation. You will find people who are interested in YOU and what you are doing.
4. Do NOT present your business by email and DEFINITELY do not just send someone to your replicated business site or lead capture page. GET A PHONE NUMBER!!! Then start building a relationship.
5. Try not to argue, but post questions and comments that will generate discussion. Post comments about the ethics in MLM or about what compensation plan is better, etc. Try to get people talking about YOUR forum topic. Your name will be at the top and everyone will see it.
